The 2nd International Interdisciplinary Conference on Sustainable Development Goals 2019 (IICSDG2019) was held in Graha Azizah on 14th December 2019 at Gorontalo, Indonesia. The theme of the conference was ‘Improving the Quality of Health in the Era of 4.0’ Prof. Dr. Nawzia Yasmin, Dean of the School of Health Sciences and Head of the Department of Public Health, State University of Bangladesh delivered her keynote speech on the title “Current Nutritional status among under-five children in Bangladesh and the way forward”. She highlighted the global and national status of nutrition among under-five children where she showed the latest statistics on the gradual improvement of Bangladesh in this sector. She emphasized on the upcoming initiatives that will be taken by the Government of Bangladesh and other NGOs. Moreover, she focused on the gaps in the current situation where public health researchers can work together to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) by 2030 which was the theme of the conference. Expertise from different backgrounds and countries like Australia, Malaysia, and Indonesia also delivered the keynote speech along with her. In addition, many researchers and students from Indonesia and other countries presented their research works at the conference. The conference was organized jointly by Gorontalo Health Polytechnic University and Bina Mandiri University, Indonesia.
