Workshop on “Sample Size Determination & Sampling Technique”

On Tuesday, December 12, 2017 a workshop on “Sample size determination & Sampling technique” was organized by Department of Public Health & Institutional Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC), State University of Bangladesh. Prof. Dr. Nawzia Yasmin, Professor  & Head, and all faculty members of Department of Public Health attended the workshop. Professor Dr.Tajul Islam, Senior Advisor, Save the Children, conducted the workshop. In his presentation, Dr. Islam emphasized on steps to design a sampling technique, Sampling methods, Sampling units and frame, Multistage sampling, Quota sampling, Snowball sampling. Sample size for Epidemiological studies, Cross-sectional studies, Case- Control studies, Cohort studies, Clinical trials, Qualitative & Quantitative outcome etc. Prof. Dr. Md. Sayeed Salam, Vice Chancellor, Maj,Gen (Retd.) Dr.M. Shahjahan,Treasurer, Brig.Gen.Mirza Ezazur Rahman (Retd.),Registrar. Prof. Dr. Md. Moklesur Rahman Sarker, Director, IQAC, Mamoon Al Rasheed, Ex. Additional Director, IQAC, Muhammad Masud Tarek, Associate Professor (Acting Head), Department of Computer Science and Engineering, Khan Ferdousour Rahman, Associate Professor & Head, Department of Environmental Science, Prof. Maj. Gen. Mohammad Quamruzzaman (Retd.), Professor & Head, Department of Business Studies of State University of Bangladesh attended the workshop . Around twenty students participated in the workshop.
