The duration of the Master of Public Health program with dissertation will be of 16 to 18 months. However, there will be provision for experienced students to accelerate the six months allocated to dissertation and to have the final internship waived, thus completing the full course in one calendar year. A series of short courses will be offered on the core subjects in the beginning of the program. These courses will be awarded credit that could then be applied toward the requirements for the MPH degree, for candidates accepted into the degree program. Course curriculum and syllabus of the MPH program of the State University of Bangladesh satisfies the need for producing quality Public Health Professionals well equipped with expertise, knowledge and skills to serve both at the national as well as the international level. The program comprises Core courses, Elective courses/ Optional courses, Practicum/Internship and a Dissertation. The courses can be identified by the initial code PUBH. Every course of the program will have a course code for easy identification and quick reference.
