Seminar on "How to Face Interview" and "How to Prepare a Resume"

Department of Business Studies of State University of Bangladesh organized a seminar on "How to Face Interview" and "How to Prepare a Resume" on 26 November 2011 at 10:00 am at the Seminar Room of SUB. The program was chaired by the Head of the Department of Business Studies Mr Kazi Atif Anwar.
Mr. Saidul Hossain Khan, Director, HRD, Syngenta Bangladesh Ltd and Mr Asif Ahmed, Manager, Compensation & Benefits Administration, HR Division, Airtel Bangladesh Ltd were present as guest speakers. Mr. Saidul Hossain Khan presented a topic on how to face interview while Mr Asif Ahmed focused on CV preparation for job.
Dr. Nazrul Islam, Professor and Dean, School of Social and Business Studies also spoke on the occasion. Mr Washim Palash, Assistant Professor & Coordinator of Internship Program, Department of Business Studies conducted the program.
All the students who have taken major in different areas of study and the faculty members of the department were present on the occasion.
Department of Business Studies of State University of Bangladesh (SUB) organized a seminar on "Marketing of Fast Moving Consumer Goods in Bangladesh" at the Seminar room of SUB at 12:00pm on 22 November 2011. The program was chaired by Dr Nazrul Islam, Professor & Dean, School of Business & Social Studies of SUB. Prof. Mamtaz Uddin Ahmed, Advisor, Department of Business Studies of SUB also spoke on the seminar. The seminar was conducted by Mr. G. M. Kamrul Hasan, Head of Marketing, New Zealand Dairy Products Bangladesh Ltd. as a resource person.
In his speech, Mr. G. M. Kamrul Hasan emphasized on the marketing of the fast moving consumer goods in Bangladesh especially the strategy of differentiation and positioning of brand to create competitive advantages of dairy products. He also focused on the consumers rational attitude and its impact on buying decision and ultimately the customer satisfaction, loyalty, and retention for modern marketing endeavor.
The seminar was coordinated by Ms. Nipa Saha, Senior Lecturer, Department of Business Studies of SUB. Faculty members and the Students of the Department of Business Studies attended the seminar and participated in open discussion at the seminar.
