Seminar on "Peer Review of Manuscripts"

A seminar on "Peer Review of Manuscripts" was organized by the Department of Public Health, State University of Bangladesh (SUB) on Sunday, November 27,2011 at 3.00 PM in the Seminar Room of SUB. Professor Dr. Harun-Ar-Rashid, Professor of Public Health & Research Management & Director, Research & International Collaboration presented the Key note paper in the Seminar. Professor Dr. Harun-Ar-Rashid mentioned that clarity and correctness of scientific papers tend to improve with cautions review by appropriate viewers/referees. He recommended that Editorial Board of Journals should adopt "peer Review" as a tool for quality improvement. The program was glorious with the kind presence of Prof. Iftekhar Ghani Chowdhury, Vice Chancellor of SUB as chief guest while Maj. General (Retd.) Dr. M Shahjahan, Treasurer & Advisor, School of Health Sciences, SUB chaired the occasion. Dr. Nawzia Yasmin, Head and Academic Program Director of Department of Public Health facilitated the seminar. Teachers and graduate students of SUB participated in the seminar.
