SUB organized a Seminar on “Prospects of CSE Graduates in Home and Abroad”.

The Department of Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) of State University of Bangladesh (SUB) organized a seminar on “Prospects of CSE Graduates - Home and Abroad” on August 2, 2008 at SUB auditorium. Dr. Muhammed Zafar Iqbal, Professor and Head, Department of CSE, Shahjalal University of Science and Technology, Sylhet, graced the Seminar as the Chief Guest. Dr. Mohammad Kaykobad, Professor, Department of CSE, BUET, was present as the Special Guest. Major General (Retd.) Dr. M. Shahjahan, Advisor, School of Health Sciences, SUB, Professor A. A. K. M. Lutfuzzaman, Dean, School of Science and Technology, SUB and Niaz Makhdum Muhammad, Acting Head, Dept. of CSE, SUB, also spoke on the occasion. The Keynote paper was presented by Dr. Md. Humayun Kabir, Advisor, Dept. of CSE, SUB.

The whole Seminar became interesting with the participation of large number of students and faculty members of CSE department of SUB. In his speech, Dr. Muhammed Zafar Iqbal encouraged the students to be more informed about the current ICT Industry and become competent and knowledgeable. “Students should come forward to accept the challenge of this age to meet the needs of the country for ICT-skilled persons”, he added.

On this occasion a competition on IT programming was organized in which a large number of students participated. Prizes were distributed among the winners.
