Prof. Iftekhar Ghani Chowdhury joins as Vice Chancellor State University of Bangladesh.

Prof. Iftekhar Ghani Chowdhury has been appointed the Vice Chancellor of the State University of Bangladesh. He is the former Director of IBA Dhaka University. Prof Chowdhury was a commonwealth scholar to the UK and obtained PhD in Management Science from Imperial College, London University.

He has taught at Universities in the UK and the Middle East before joining IBA as associate professor in 1984. Prof Chowdhury has published widely in journals in the UK, the USA, the Far East and Bangladesh, in some of which he was also member of editorial team.

He was team leader of several projects under UNCHS, USAID and WHO-EMRO funding. Prof Chowdhury has served as member of DU Senate, DU Finance and SEC, Government of Bangladesh.
