English Dept. of SUB meets Syed Shamsul Haq.

The Department of English Studies of the State University of Bangladesh (SUB) recently organized “A Morning with Syed Shamsul Haq”.

The program was held at the SUB Main Campus at 77 Satmasjid Road in the city’s Dhanmondi area on February 15 from 11am to 2pm.

On the occasion, versatile writer Syed Haq talked about the Language Movement of 1952, different languages, world literature, renowned writers and their work as well as the mysterious process of creation under the title-“ Creative Process of Authoritng.”

A large number of enthusiastic faculty members and students took part in the program. Syed Shamsul Haq answered their questions, and advised them to attach due importance to both Bangla and English to open a new horizon of knowledge and creative world before them. The students were elated to have the opportunity of a close interaction with such an eminent literary personality like Syed Haq.

SUB Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. Iftekher Ghani Chowdhury, Registrar Prof. AYM Ekram-ud-Daulah, and Head of the Department of English Studies Prof. Shafi Ahmed also spoke at the program.
