Freshers’ Reception for Students of Fall ’09 At State University of Bangladesh

A freshers’ reception ceremony was held on October 21st, 2009 at the auditorium of the State University of Bangladesh (SUB) to welcome the newly admitted students of Fall 2009. The program was inaugurated by Vice Chancellor of the University Prof. Dr. Iftekhar Ghani Chowdhury.

Vice Chancellor in his speech welcomed the newcomers & urged them to devote themselves for acquiring knowledge so as to face the challenges in their life.

Registrar of the University Prof. A Y M Ekram-Ud- Daulah also welcomed the students and mentioned about the facilities, Faculty resources, Rules, Policy & the upcoming developments of the University to the new students.

Major General (Rtd.) Dr. M Shahjahan, Advisor, School of Health Sciences, Prof. A A K M Lutfuzzaman, Dean School of Science & Technology, Prof. Momtaz Uddin Ahmed, Advisor, Dept. of Business Studies, Prof. Shafi Ahmed, Advisor, Dept. of English Studies and Prof. Dr. Asif Nazrul, Advisor, Dept. of Law also spoke on the occasion Welcoming the freshres. Akmal Hakim, Head, Dept. of Architechture conducted the program.

The reception ceremony ended with a colorful cultural program organized by the students of the university.
