Tania Sultana is currently a 2nd year PhD student in the School of Chemistry, Monash University, Australia. In 2019, she has been awarded Monash University’s Faculty of Science Dean’s Postgraduate Research Scholarship (DPRS) and Dean’s International Postgraduate Research Scholarship (DIPRS) to pursue full-time research for Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in the School of Chemistry. Her research project focuses on metal-based antibiotics development to treat multi-drug resistant bacteria. Her primary aim is to make a difference in solving the ongoing problems of Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR). She has completed her Bachelor of Pharmacy (Honours) (15th batch) and Master of Pharmacy degrees from the Department of Pharmacy, State University of Bangladesh (SUB) securing CGPA 3.99 (first position) in 2013, and Master of Pharmacy (Thesis) with CGPA 4.00 (first position) in 2017, respectively. She has received the prestigious Dean’s Award in 2014 for her outstanding result in the B. Pharm. (Hons.) examination. In January 2014, she joined Incepta Pharmaceuticals Ltd. as Officer, Research and Development, Analytical (R&DA). From Incepta Pharmaceuticals Ltd., she has attended the “3rd Annual Cleaning Validation 2018” conference by UBM India Pvt. Ltd., on September 2018 in Mumbai, India. She left the job as Senior Officer, R&DA from same company in September 2019 due to her studies in Australia. During her service in Incepta, she has developed analytical methods for several products, validated the methods and successfully transferred the methods to the Quality Control (QC) department. She also prepared the necessary documents for DTL (Drug Testing Lab) submission in DGDA and so on.
